Irish Libyan Emergency Aid

Following the brutal attacks on civilians in Libya, Libyan hospitals were in grave need of medical supplies. Due to the Gaddafi government not supplying food or medications, we fundraised and provided food and medical aid to Libyan cities with an estimated value of $9 million between the months of February and August 2011.

We continue to receive donations of medical supplies from Irish hospitals and we are to continue with our aid programmes in other countries in need of medical assistance.

As supplies continue to come in, we continue fundraising to accomodate the costs involved in the haulage of medical supplies to wherever it is needed.

We also purchase anti-biotics, first aid and anaesthetic medications and food supplies for both Libya and elsewhere.
